Questions before you commit
It depends on the route you choose. Under BOOT you pay nothing for the plant: Steamax funds the conversion or the new boiler or heater, and you pay only for the steam or heat you use. If you prefer to buy the conversion or the equipment outright, you pay a project cost and own it from day one.
Yes, if it is in sound mechanical condition. We inspect it first. A standby boiler is ideal, because it keeps production running during the changeover. If your equipment is too old to convert, we can build a new biomass boiler or heater instead.
Build, own, operate, transfer. Steamax builds the plant or funds the conversion, owns it, supplies the fuel, runs it and disposes of the ash for an agreed term, and bills you for the steam or heat it delivers. At the end of the term the equipment transfers to you.
Steam and heat are metered at your plant and billed per tonne or per unit at a tariff agreed in the contract. Because fuel is the largest part of the cost, the contract can adjust the tariff when fuel prices move past an agreed level, so neither side carries all of that risk.
Two things. We can take over the fuel supply and the operation, and you pay per tonne of steam while the boiler stays with you. Or we can buy the boiler from you, provide the capital for any expansion, and carry the equipment on our books while you buy steam from us.
Supply agreements typically run 10 to 15 years. At the end you can renew, agree a new term or part ways. Under BOOT the plant transfers to you in working condition.

That is agreed in writing at the start. Either you count the switch away from fossil fuel towards your own emission-reduction targets, or the credits under India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme are sold and the benefit shared. The same reduction cannot be counted twice.
